In other news, I've been cooking up an ultra fabulous painted mural idea for Y's upcoming first birthday. I decided a sheet would be the best surface so I could hang it up and fold it up for easy transportation. (I've been thinking about this for months, but haven't been confident enough to actually get rolling on it). Last month I bought the sheet. A few weeks later, I dyed it a gorgeous sky blue (dying fabrics=suprisingly easy and not messy!). Last night I laid the sheet out in my living room, locked up the dogs (they were so excited to trample all over it), and began sketching. I've got everything blocked in, now I just need to get out the fabric paint and get rolling. I think the size is what intimidated me (how could I sketch something so big?!) but it is really turning out fabulous. I can't wait to show you the result!
