Unexpectedly Impressed

I have the tendency to watch way too much tv during the late fall and winter. . . this usually tapers off in the summer and really I haven't had any "shows" for the last couple of weeks (not since The Office and Biggest Loser ended for the season :P). However, I found myself lying in bed last night struggling to survive an episode of America's Got Talent (and missing Fall television) when I saw preview for The Philanthropist. I hadn't even heard of this show before, did you catch it? Anyways, that preview gave me the stamina to finish America's Got Talent, and even got to catch this heartwarming moment where this little boy tore it up with his dance moves :) He reminded me of one of my students. . . I ALMOST cried ;) But I digress . . .
The Philanthropist was so surprisingly touching. I loved it! You can watch the pilot here if you've got 45 minutes in your pocket to spare, and I would highly recommend it. The story of a insanely rich man who's life is altered by an extreme encounter with a Nigerian child and the profound effect it has on his outlook and actions . . . I'm being vague but only because I think you should probably watch it. This has nothing to do with crafting, but tragically, I haven't had much to do with crafting this past week :) Thank goodness it's Friday tomorrow!
