i'm IN LOVE with this idea. Ruffles + streamers??!! Pure genius! I saw them first here:
and couldn't decipher exactly what they were. But my internet-super-sleuth self finally found out they were simple cheap paper streamers sewn together and ruffled a la My Paper Crane (which is a site/shop/artist I simply adore) . I CAN DO THAT!! So, I slaved over them on the eve of my daughters party (although we wouldn't call it slaving, because I was so darn excited at how awesome they were turning out that I would have sewn a dozen more if I had any in the house). The true tragedy is that they didn't make it up @ the party :( I just plain ran out of time :( But, I forsee these as a new staple for every party hereafter!!

These are BEAUTIFUL! I also love the ones from Oh Happy Day! that are just crepe paper with slits cut into the sides and so they look ruffley like parrot tulips.
