It's finally Spring and I'm giddy with excitement as I clear the crispy remains of last year's plants off the white trellis (because I didn't get to it last fall) and plant my sugar snap peas (late, again like every year) in my cheery lime green garden boxes. I live in a newer house with a mini yard, and I can STILL plant my own food. The space challenge almost makes my home garden an adventure. How much and what kinds can I fit where? I really love this time of year! What kind of bounty will you bring us this year, Garden? Two years ago I planted a Butternut squash in my front flower bed and although it nearly engulfed the front of our home, it provided us with 20+ delicious squash! 20 opportunities for a yummy curry soup or warm cozy casserole. Last year I tried my hand at pesto and fell in love. . . this year, who knows! The strawberry plants have multiplied and are creeping beyond their designated "spot". I know Y will soon be hunting for any hint of pink and plucking many a not-yet-ripe berry, insisting that she likes them. The sun is shining and I'm ready!

It did feel like spring today!! I started having gardening cravings too... ;)
Wow, you are inspiring! I like to plant but am not very good at keeping up with stuff after that! And the rabbits always eat everything...=(. We have to completely enclose our tomatoes with a chicken wire cage. And, it snowed last night. So depressing after having a few 70 and 80 degree days this week.
