Phew!!

Remember this post? Well, I'm proud to say that I FINALLY completed this dress and . . . .AND it is still too big for Miss Y! Which is very good news because I was afraid my procrastination had gotten the better of me and I'd done all that work in vain, not finishing before she could actually outgrew it. But, after successfully sewing in my first zipper, and flawlessly (sorta!) adding the black sheer ruffle along the neckline it is done and ready to go, I'm thinking she'll fit it nicely by late Spring or Summer, which is perfect! She loves it now, however, it's very twirly. Hence the blur in some of the pictures!

I am on a sewing motivation high! If only she slept a little longer during the day :) **side note: any tips on stretching naptime? I know she could use one that was at least a half hour to full hour longer than she's getting, but short of me laying in there with her, I don't know how to keep her down** Anyways, my sewing success and motivation is thanks to this fabulous gift my dad got me for Christmas! It's super user- friendly and the results really look better than I would expect of myself :) It has a digital screen, a easy to understand manual, and clearly labeled presser feet :) Plus, it's pretty affordable at $139, I would definitely recommend this if you're in the market for a new, light, easy machine :)

What a cute blog! The dress is adorable - I love your fabric selection! Thanks for adding our button. I think a bubble skirt would look so very chic on your little one as well. :)
